I won’t tell you how long it took for us to pick our outfits: But spoiler alert… it took A LOT of trial and error!ĭeciding on outfits pre-portraiture may have been a little stressful, but after the photos were done, I felt so happy to have them & couldn’t wait to get a few sneak peeks edited. I decided to gift my dad family portraiture for his birthday, and I think this may just become a brand new tradition! (Shhh… don’t tell my dad!) My brother, sister and I all live in different cities now and my parents live down in Houston! This was the first time since the holidays that we were all together at one time and will probably be the only time until Thanksgiving! (That’s just so crazy to think about!!) As an added bonus?! We’ve been visiting the beach as a family for so many years now, and it just makes the perfect backdrop for photos that are both beautiful and meaningful. Today’s post brings me SO much joy! Earlier in the year, I realized that I have been using & reusing our family photo from over TWO years ago and knew that I wanted to change that over the summer when we were all together! I’m someone that preaches updating your portraiture often, if not yearly, so the fact that it had been THAT long since we took a professional photo together made me really sad!
